"I attended an Unleash weekend in April of 2024 hosted by the Chronic Hope + Healing team.

To be honest, I didn’t want to go .... at all. My wife signed up and I knew she really wanted me to attend so we could go through this together, but I wasn’t interested in spending a weekend doing this. I heard a bit about it and I just didn’t feel I was at a place to step into this kind of experience. I was very resistant, but four days before it started, I decided I would go “for my wife” because this was so important to her. Little did I know that, despite my resistance, God had invited me to go not for my wife, but for me. I’m a guy who is often skeptical and I like to use the word “discerning” when it comes to new experiences that may be uncomfortable. It probably can be better identified as fear.

The weekend was powerful. The CH+H team is incredibly gifted and the way they  work together, being tuned in and sensitive to the Holy Spirit was such a blessing.

If you’re considering attending, I would highly recommend the investment, to allow God to start the process of unleashing inner healing. I waited a couple months to write this reflection, to be sure I wasn’t writing this from a place of being “caught up in my emotions” from the weekend.
